Important agreement for a common great school of Restoration of Woods in Florence

The two main schools of Restoration of Woods in Florence, Palazzo Spinelli and Scuola Edile di Firenze/Centro Europeo del Restauro will join at Villa La Petraia in order to create a unique training school in the fields of craftsmanship and restoration in Florence.br> The accord, unique example in Florence, was prepared by prof. Ester Calabṛ, and dr. Bruno Ferrari, director of CER, and prof. Simone Beneforti, responsible of artistic sector of CNA. The accord was undersigned on 25th June 2009 by prof. Francesco Amodei, Founder and President of Palazzo Spinelli, and by dr. Marzio Cacciamani, President of Scuola Edile of Florence and of Centro Europeo Restauro.
Starting from academic year 2009-2010 the academic courses of Restoration of Woods will take place only in the premises of Villa La Petraia.
Palazzo Spinelli will maintain the laboratories of restoration of woods in Borgo S. Croce 10, and they will be used as a support for the training activities of the courses of Restoration of paintings and of polychrome and gilt artefacts following the sectorial fields defined by MIBAC.
