Scientific Co-ordinator of many European projects in the context of the Programme RTD (1994-98) (1998-2002) and of the Regional Programme MEDA I (1995-2000).
Member of the Editorial Board dof the following scientific magazines: "New Polymeric Materials", “Journal of Polymer Materials", "La Chimica Oggi", “Advances in Polymer Technology”.
Moreover, he is author of over 20 patents and more than 400 scientific publications on issues related to chemistry and polymer based materials as well as to international cooperation activities and policies.
He is author of 7 books on the history of natural fibres and polymer based materials, analysed into an evolving national and international scenario that takes into account: archeological, socio-economical, geo-political aspects.
He has been lecturer to over 200 national and international Conferences and Seminars.
