Theoretical topics
Technical topics on the construction techniques and on the various types of anatomical waxworks. Didactic guided visit to the anatomical waxworks collection of the Museo della Specola. Techniques of conservation (power point presentation). Presentation of the materials used in the waxworks restoration.
Practical topics
Students will works on a little colour waxwork provided by the instructor. They will execute the following works: Gluing; Colour fixing of the wax before the integration process; Reconstruction of missing parts with wax sculpting; Digital photography documentation.
