The Institute, on the basis of its thirty year experience, develops this summer course in a four week format for a total duration of 100 hours.
All the subjects will be presented on a two levels approach, in order to help both the students with a basic entry level and the students in possession of various previous professional experiences :
A: Absolute beginners (introduction to the techniques)
B: Advanced (widening of the techniques).
The entry level will be based on the evaluation of attendants previous study titles, qualifications and professional experiences. The teachers, if necessary, could do a practical preliminary test during the first day of the course.
Applicants must be in possession of a secondary school title and/or specific professional experiences in the sector to be admitted to this course.
All courses are held in Italian. Can be admitted to the courses students of every nationality, on condition that they have a sufficient knowledge of Italian (listening and speaking comprehension).

Timetable
From Monday to Friday, mostly in the morning from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. for an average number of 25 hours a week.

CERTIFICATIONS
Students who follow with diligence the course will receive a Certificate of Attendance, undersigned by the Direction and by the lecturers, which will include the number of the obtained credits recognised by the Institute (five).
A credit is equivalent to 25 hours of study, including frontal sessions, laboratory, practical works, internships, seminars and meetings, researches and individual work. The credits reported on the final certificate are calculated on the grounds of the real last of each module or subject, bearing in mind the incidence of study and individual research on them. These credits can be asserted for prosecution of studies and attendance to other courses promoted by the Istituto per l’Arte e il Restauro and its partners. They are also recognizable by state and non-state Universities, as concerns Italy according to the Minister’s Decree 509/99 about teaching autonomy of Universities, modified by the MIUR Decree n. 270/04.

TUITION FEE
The Tuition Fee of Euros 1.280,00 (one thousand, two hundred and eighty/00) includes: didactic assistance, use of tools and materials, main equipment and apparatus for safety during group workshops, a Palazzo Spinelli overall; Inail accident insurance; accident and casualty insurance with Assicurazioni Generali; issue of certificates of attendance. All Institute students are allowed to use, free of charge, the Institute Computer Room during the hours of usage fixed by the direction. All which is included in the tuition fee is clearly specified in the preliminary introduction to the course.

ENROLMENT MODALITIES
In order to be enrolled at this course, applicants have to send the on-line Admission Evaluation Request which will be examined by the Institute Admission Office.
Admitted students must complete their enrolment sending by fax +39 055 217963:
1) a duly signed copy of Administrative Rules
2) a copy of the receipt of the payment of the booking fee of Euros 280,00.
The enrolment is complete after the receipt within the 20th August 2010 of the settlement of the tuition fee and of the following documents: a recent Curriculum Vitae, a copy of an ID document and a passport-size colour photo.

The payment of the tuition fee can be done directly to the Administrative Secretary Office or by postal cheque to: Istituto per l'Arte e il Restauro, Via Maggio 13 - 50125 Firenze.
