On the 6 September will also start the intensive specialization course of Consolidation of paintings on canvas (6-17 September).

A free course of restoration of plaster, stuccoes and stone artefacts will be held in our laboratories of Palazzo Ridolfi from the 8th November to the18th of December 2010. The course will have a duration of 100 hours and will be held in the afternoon time from 2.30 to 6.30 p.m.. The course will be activated only after reaching the 12 available places.

The Institute Director, Ester Calabrò, has recently undersigned an agreement between the Institute ant the Parks of the Val di Cornia. The Parks of the Val di Cornia, in Tuscany, has an ancient legacy with the Etruscan gents and are strictly connected with the miners and the metals working methodologies. They have also a series of wonderful natural landscapes and archaeological sites.

The results of the mission at the Expo of Shanghai
Yesterday 27th June 2010, dr. Elena Amodei returned from China where she went with the delegation of the Regione Toscana.
During the presentation of the Florence Art and Restoration Fair, which is chaired by Elena Amodei, was given great relevance to the Florentine firms and institutions included our Institute. Many local institutions, during the B2B meetings, were very interested in joint venture and cooperation agreements with Tuscany firms.
Dr.Amodei met also the Italian Consul and the Director of the Italian Institute of Culture. They assured all their collaboration for futture projects in China. An interesting visit to the laboratories of restoration of the local University ended the Shanghai mission.
