In the Milleproroghe Decree which is currently in discussion at the Italian Camera dei Deputati, the Minister Bondi accepted the proposal launched by the various Italian committees in the recent past months. In particular all the restoration works made until the date of 30th July 2009 will be accepted as part of the requested preliminary documentation. ...continues»

On 16th February started the school-site of restoration of the marble sculpture allocated in Palazzo Vecchio “La Civiltà Toscana” by Pio Fedi (1861), one of the best Florentine sculptures of the 19th century. This restoration project is part of a series of events which the city of Florence is going to organize in order to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Italian Republic birth (1861-2011) and the role of Florence as Capital of Italy (1865-1871). ...continues»

A technical table in Florence for the changes at the DM 53

On the 26th January 2010, in the Sala degli Otto in Palazzo Vecchio, was established a technical table with the main aim to discuss about the changes of the Ministerial Decree 182 and 53 regarding the qualification exams and the work of restorer. The table was strongly supported by Florence deputy Major Dario Nardella, whose sensitivity about cultural heritage and conservation problems is very well known and it can be surely considered a good help for the safe and the evaluation of the work of restorer which in Florence involves more than 1000 citizens, the higher concentration of restorer of the entire world. ...continues»

On this occasion, we inform our students that starting from the next week, in spite of the great work to do, we will start the issue of the certifications requested as in the Ministerial Decree 53/89. Our Institute entrusted from the beginning all the actions made by the various sector organizations in order to suspend the ministerial decree created in order to solve in few months thirty years of problems. A true “Florentine success” for the Florence Art and Restoration Fair, which was closed yesterday evening the 31st October, at 6,30 a.m.; the fair had more than 15.000 visitors during the three opening days. All the cultural events registered the maximum participation in terms of public and experts. Great appreciation came from the various authorities who crowded the Fair venues and from the 130 exhibitors and the 350 speakers and experts.
